Performance Matters, Inc. Joins the USA Junior National Golf Program
(SAN ANTONIO, Tex.) – The USA Junior National Golf Team announces its partnership with Performance Matters, Inc. as an advisory service on Coach and Player Development.
Effectively immediately, Performance Matters, Inc. will provide research-based information on coaching and competitive player development to USA Junior National Team coaches and members. In addition, search services will help identify high quality coaches and facilities to join the USA Junior National Golf Program.
Dr. Paul Schempp is a research professor and director of the Sport Instruction Research Lab at the University of Georgia. Schempp was the lead consultant in GOLF Magazine’s selection of America’s Top 100 Teachers and Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America. He has worked extensively with the PGA and LPGA in the development of their Teacher and Coach Certification programs.
As a coach, Schempp served as the Performance Coach for the Swedish Golf Federation where he designed practice programs for Sweden’s elite amateur and professional golfers. He also served as an Assistant National Golf Coach for the Mexican National Golf Team and the English Golf Union. He is the author of Golf: Steps to Success (Human Kinetics Publishers).
