The Pre Elite program is designed specifically for juniors seeking a structured golf-training environment, is the fourth of five levels in the USA Junior National Golf Team Program.  Training is conducted in small groups by Certified USA Junior National Golf Team Coaches.

Pre Elite Team members participate in structured weekly training sessions to fine-tune their technical golf skills, sport performance, and fitness.  Participants will also have numerous opportunities to implement their skills during on-course activities.  The coaching staff will also observe team members performance in tournaments as well.  Pre Elite team members will also have the opportunity to play in matches against other regional teams throughout the season.

Attitude, work ethic, and the desire to participate in a team sport setting are important for Pre-Elite participants.  Team members are expected to display a passion for the game and have experience in competitive golf events.   Juniors should have a desire to learn and work hard.

Each member of the Pre Elite Team will receive an Individualized Player Development Manual, USA National Team hat, and USA National Team golf bag and USA National Team golf balls.

Elite participants are eligible to attend Regional USA National Training Camps on a space available basis.  These camps are typically offered in the winter twice a year in warm weather locations and are open to all Elite Team athletes.

Pre-Elite Team members have documented competitive success on the local and state levels. Pre-Elite Team Members should score from the mid 70’s to 80’s in competition or have a USGA handicap index between 4.0 and 10.0. Age is not a determining factor in team selection.
